When my husband, a local homebuilder of 30 years, decided that “we” should open a restaurant, my immediate reaction was, “You’ve got to be kidding! We know absolutely nothing about the restaurant business.”
Those words fell on deaf ears and several years later in April of 2009, we opened The Gruene Door. I must say that I am very proud of him, his vision and his dedication.
Together, the chefs at The Gruene Door create clean and simple, yet diverse flavors. We strive to use local and seasonal ingredients as much as possible, some coming from our own garden. We take pride in creating our fresh dishes in house. New menu’s and frequent specials keep both the guests and the chefs satisfied.
Our restaurant truly is a team effort in achieving great food and great service to ensure that you, our guests, will enjoy a most memorable dining experience.
